You pick a template, describe your business, and the AI writes the starting content for you — then you edit anything you want in the editor and publish. It is free to start, and you can see every template before signing up.
What the AI Actually Does
This is the part most builders are vague about, so to be specific: you give the generator your business name, your industry and an optional description. It returns written content for your about, services, testimonials and contact sections, and on several templates also portfolio, blog and gallery entries. You can preview and edit that content in the editor before it is saved, or generate in bulk straight into the site when you switch templates.
The model behind it is Anthropic's Claude Haiku 4.5. It writes the copy — it does not invent facts about your business beyond what you tell it, so the description you provide matters.

What You Can Build
The builder is not limited to brochure pages. Depending on your plan you can add an online store with products, categories, cart and orders; a blog; a portfolio; a digital vCard; galleries, job listings, courses and campaign pages. Menus, SEO fields, social links and custom CSS are all editable, and sites can run on a subdomain or your own custom domain with Darwinbark branding removed.
Plans
The Trial plan is free: 666 hours — roughly 27 days — and up to 5 pages, with the AI generator, SEO tools, subdomain and the ecommerce and vCard modules included. Paid plans step up the page limit (Starter 10 pages, Growth 99, Pro 999) and add custom domain support, analytics and priority support on the higher tiers. Current pricing in your currency is shown on the templates page when you start a site.
Builder or Custom Build?
Use the builder when you want to be live quickly, manage the site yourself and work within a template's structure. Choose custom website development when you need functionality the templates do not cover — a bespoke booking flow, an integration with systems you already run, or a design built from scratch. For stores with complex catalogue or fulfilment needs, ecommerce development is the better fit, and for products rather than sites there is SaaS development.
